Yesterday Connor got a note from school. According to the note Connor was sent to time-out after he threw a toy and bruised a classmate's arm. According to his teacher, she asked him to clean up the toys; after initially refusing to do so, Connor picked up a toy and threw it forcefully in the direction of the toy basket. The little girl happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.
When I asked Connor about his day, he replied, "I went to time-out."
"Why did you go to time-out?"
"Oh, I was just cleaning up the toys, and the car just flew out of my hand and hit Katie."
Right.
This morning Connor was playing with his firetruck. Or rather, he was banging it on the floor repeatedly.
"Stop doing that, Connor," I said.
"Oh, I'm not doing it. My truck is doing it."
As if....
We'll have to work on the lying, but I've got to give him credit for being clever!
